All Ages

Piano lessons are offered for students of all ages, 6 years and up, and all levels. No previous musical experience is needed, however it is essential that you own a keyboard or piano to practice on.

Teaching Methods

A variety of proven methods is incorporated which allows students to progress at their own pace while playing pieces they like. There is an emphasis on Classical music, with the inclusion of modern music and rhythms and theory.

Examinations

Lessons are tailored to suit the students requirements. A student may wish to play for their own pleasure and enjoyment however, if the intention is to undertake exams, they will be prepared for the St Cecilia Examinations.

Individual Piano Lessons

Individual piano lessons are 30 minutes once a week during the school term. If a student is preparing for examinations, it may be necessary to increase lessons to 45 minutes.

Make up lessons are available if a student cannot attend a particular day, provided appropriate notice is given.

Fees

Tuition fees for individual piano lessons are $30 (30 minute lesson) and $45 (45 minute lesson). Fees are charged on a termly basis (depending on the number of weeks in the school term), unless otherwise arranged.

Concerts

Recitals offer students the chance not only to share their music and to develop performance skills but to be motivated by hearing others playing too. Two concerts are held each year - in term one and term three - in which students are encouraged to participate.

Venue

Piano lessons are held at the home of Carol Bromley in Mount Barker.
